Sydney Vinson is a graduate from the University of Houston with a liberal arts degree in Art History/Photography. She is currently based in Houston and frequently engages in portrait and travel photography. Her achievements include:

"I think my love for imagery started with my love for travel. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to start traveling at a young age and my desire to document every bit of detail from my travels put my fixation for photography into motion. I don't think the impulse I feel to travel and document my surroundings will ever cease to exist. I have spent some time apprenticing with some wonderful Houston based photographers, without which, I would not have gained some of the images in my library and the invaluable experience.

I received my first digital camera in high school and typically always carry a camera with me wherever I go, just for good measure. In college, I realized that I quite enjoyed film photography and I'm sad to see it become a dying art. Throughout the years, I continued to invest in newer and better digital equipment and I thoroughly enjoy the editing process of photography.

Currently, I am employed as a full-time nanny with a fabulously exquisite family, a job I feel blessed to have. It has also allowed me the time and opportunity to meet so many new families to photograph! I like to spend my free time collecting images and gaining new perspective on people, places, and things. I take pleasure in spending time with family and friends, game nights!, outdoor activities, planning a new travel experience, and finding new ways to enrich my life. I also like to dabble in the art of all things creative- designing spaces/decorating, party planning, sewing, cooking, organizing anything, and putting together looks for your photoshoot! The list goes on and on... (I'm entirely too detail oriented, I'm not afraid to admit)!  I look forward to continuing to grow in all aspects of my life while expanding my work in photography."
